Advocacy and reputation-building initiatives
Case Studies will be will be evidence- and experience-based presentations from practitioners responsible for the implementation and delivery of such initiatives. The emphasis will be very firmly on examining the detail of real-world projects in search of replicable models of good practice.
Case study sessions are likely to include three presentations lasting twenty minutes each, supported by Powerpoint slides and project documentation (eg model contracts, evaluation forms, partnership agreements etc).

Sessions 2: Policy Debate
|
|
Urgent policy issues will be addressed in discussion sessions lasting ninety minutes, with short statements or position papers from policy makers and informed experts, followed by facilitated open debate. Expanded versions of these papers may be published in the conference literature.
There is a wide range of policy areas that impact on creative industry development, encompassing many aspects of economic, cultural, social and political development. However, rather than encouraging general and theoretical debate, the Conference will seek to focus these sessions on specific and urgent issues, and we are aiming for informed discussion that is likely to make a practical impact on current policy development. The political focus will be on the UK and its regions, in a European context.
